Cubaball offers a unique baseball and travel experience. The 2012 tour, the 10th since Cubaball was founded in 2002, features the following:
- Attend 5 or 6 games of the Cuban National Series in different locations on the western half of Cuba;
- Meet Cuban baseball ‘s current stars and Cuban sports officials;
- Meet Cuba old-timers, including members of the fabled Havana Sugar Kings and the great players of Cuba’s post-revolutionary era;
- Meet 100-year old Conrado Marrero, the oldest living major leaguer, legendary star of Cuba’s amateur and professional leagues and former Washington Senators all-star;
- Tour historic Havana;
- Attend seminars on Cuba’s economy, foreign relations and political system;
- Experience Cuba’s vibrant culture, including music, dance and the visual arts;
Cubaball is led by Kit Krieger, a former pitcher in the Pacific Coast League and member of the Society of American Baseball Research, who has travelled to Cuba more than 20 times since 1997. His many contacts in Cuba provide tour participants with an experience offered by no other tour operators.
The tour is limited to 25 participants and tours have sold out quickly in recent years. Prime Travel, Cubaball’s travel agency, is able to provide custom travel experience for clients wishing to extend their stays beyond the 9-day and 8 night tour.
